Alpha Hydroxy Lotion

Alpha Hydroxy Lotion (which is also called Glycolic Acid Lotion or AHA Lotion) is one way to incorporate the Benefits of Glycolic Acid into your skin care regimen.

If you have never used a Glycolic Acid Product on your face before, do not start off with a product that contains more than 10% AHA (or glycolic acid). When you initially begin to use it, it may cause slight stinging, which is normal. However, do not use the lotion daily if you are having redness or irritation. Start off as your skin tolerates the acid and then adjust your usage up as you skin becomes accustomed to the product.

People with sensitive skin would probably be better off to avoid Alpha Hydroxy Acids altogether, but if you do want to try one, proceed with caution.
