To me, Anti-Aging Skin Care is all about using proven ingredients to maintain healthy skin with the most youthful appearance as possible - which means products that protect and nourish the skin as well as products that diminish and/or delay the signs of aging.
I base my antiaging skin care regimen based on ingredients that have been proven to help the skin. The good news is that there are many quality products that deliver visible anti-aging benefits. The bad news is that there is no one product or line that is best for everyone. All skin is different and it might take some experimentation to achieve the best results. I have tried to take some of the guesswork out of it for you through this website, but researching and experimenting with different products and sharing my results.
There are other ingredients I am researching and will be adding soon, but these are the most important ones. Here are my recommendations for a skin care regimen that improves the appearance of the skin and delays the signs of aging:
Sunscreen
Sunscreen is the single most important anti-aging product. Sun exposure causes the deeper layers of the skin to become damaged and accelerates the aging process. Use sunscreen now and you won't be trying to "undo" the effect of sun exposure later. Related Pages: The Importance of Sunscreen What does SPF mean? Sunscreen for Lips Self Tanners with SPF
Glycolic Acid
The Benefits of Glycolic Acid are so well documented that Glycolic Acid is an ingredient that should be in any anti-aging skin care regimen. It can also be beneficial to improve other skin conditions and problems. Glycolic Acid is the most effective and commonly used of the Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA).
