Baking Soda in Skin Care

Use Baking Soda in Skin Care as a gentle, but effective exfoliator for the face and body. Can be mixed with cleansers or used alone. Can be used daily.

Baking Soda in Skin Care

Ways to use Baking Soda:

  • Can make your shampoo more effective at removing build up of styling products. Add about one teaspoon to your shampoo (mix in your palm just before applying).
  • Add ˝ cup to bath water to clean and soothe the skin.
  • Use for your home pedicure. Dissolve 3 tablespoons of in warm water and soak feet. Gently scrub rough spots with a paste of water and baking soda. (It also neutralizes any foot odors.)
  • Use as a mouth wash to neutralize bad breath. Add one-half teaspoon to one half glass of water and swish, spit and rinse.
  • Use with water or hand soap to exfoliate hands and neutralize any odors.
  • Remove build up of oils from hair brushes and combs by soaking them in one teaspoon of baking soda and warm water.
  • Can be used as an underarm deodorant in a pinch.
