Dr. Denese Defense Day Cream

Dr. Denese Defense Day Cream is a unique day cream with a 30 SPF - it is totally oil free and provides broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection.

It is not intended to be a moisturizer, so anyone with drier skin will need to use it over HydroShield Face Serum or your favorite moisturizer.

It contains Zinc Oxide, which is a natural ingredient and is considered to be the most effective sunscreen.  Zinc oxide is not often used in skin care or cosmetic products because it is hard to rub into the skin and tends to leave a white film behind.  In this product the zinc oxide has been blended in a special way to make it easier to apply to the skin and it has melanin added.  Melanin is a natural skin pigment and it makes the product flesh colored, thus eliminating the whiteness left behind by zinc oxide.

I really like this cream.  It is a little on the thick side, but it goes on easily and dries to a very nice matte finish.  Although it is flesh colored, it does not really leave a tint on the skin and it is not like a tinted moisturizer.  Like most quality skin care products, it just takes a little and a jar will last for at least several months.

It does not cause breakouts on my acne prone skin, so I would highly recommend this as a great sunscreen product for acne prone or oily skin.

It also contains anti-oxidants, which will further protect the skin from sun and environmental damage.

Sunscreen is the most important beauty product you can use and I think this is one of the best on the market.  It is effective, oil free and slightly enhances the appearance of the skin.
