Honey in Skin Care

Honey in skin care is a natural antiseptic and antibacterial and makes a good cleanser for oily and blemished skin.

Honey in Skin Care

It is a very good natural acne treatment.  Honey also contains natural anti-oxidants and it helps the skin to retain moisture.

How to use Honey:

  • Soften 1 or 2 tablespoons in your hand or the microwave, and use to cleanse the face once or twice a day.
  • Use 1/2 cup honey with 1/4 cup olive oil for a natural hair conditioner. Use less oil if you hair is oily.
  • A dab of honey can be applied directly to a blemish to clear it up. Warm it up in your hand first.
  • Add ¼ cup of honey to your bath for a soothing and fragrant skin treatment.
  • To make your hair shine, add 1 teaspoon of honey to four cups of warm water. After shampooing, pour over and work through hair. Do not rinse out. Blondes can add a squeeze of lemon juice.
  • Apply to cuts and scrapes anywhere on the body to prevent infection and promote healing.  Honey is a proven antibacterial.
