The advantage is that is a more "natural" way to exfoliate your skin with adding more products or chemicals.

The cloth is used damp on clean skin.  It can be used gently daily to cleanse the skin, but only once or twice weekly for a more rigorous scrub (or microdermabrasion). 

In addition to the "cloth" cloths that are available, philosophy sells disposable cloths - philosophy Microdelivery Exfoliating Cloths.

I have not personally ever used one and I have read mixed reviews of their effectiveness - I'll be looking forward to reading reviews!
