Natural Skin Care Home Remedies

Look no further than your kitchen pantry for some of the best natural skin care beauty treatments available.  Sometimes keeping it simple is best.   There are many ordinary household items that have great skin benefits.

Natural Skin Care

Here are some of my favorite home Homemade Skin Care products:

Homemade Facial Cleanser is a great addition to your beauty routine if you want your skin to look at feel its best. Making your own products allows you to really personalize them according to your skin type and any skin problems you may have. Better still, most of the ingredients you need are right in your pantry.

Aspirin is closely related to beta hydroxyl acid. Beat hydroxyl acid is called salicylic acid. The chemical name of aspirin is acetyl-salicylic-acid.  It has exfoliating and anti-inflammatory properties and many users claim it is very effective at treating and preventing acne.

Apple Cider Vinegar contains natural alpha hydroxyl acids that exfoliate and brighten the skin.

Baking Soda is a gentle, but effective exfoliator for the face and body. Can be mixed with cleansers or used alone. Can be used daily.

Epsom salt is made from the mineral magnesium sulfate - which is also a sedative for the nervous system. It is used as a skin treatment to relax, exfoliate and soften skin on the body (do not use on the face or neck).

Honey is a natural antiseptic and antibacterial and makes a good Natural Skin Care cleanser for oily and blemished skin. It is a very good natural acne treatment. Honey also contains natural anti-oxidants and it helps the skin to retain moisture.

Hydrogen Peroxide is a natural and effective sanitizer - but it is not recommended for use on otherwise healthy skin.

Lemon Juice is a natural exfoliant, skin brightener and anti-infective. Lemon is rich in fruit acids that will gently remove dead skin cells and bleach darkened or discolored areas.

Oatmeal is used primarily for its skin calming, anti-inflammatory properties. Silicon and other minerals in oatmeal soothe the skin and can help relieve itching or inflammation.

Olive Oil is loaded with antioxidants and vitamins and is a terrific natural moisturizer for the skin. It provides a protective barrier for the skin, but does not clog pores.
