Philosophy On A Clear Day Cleanser is part of the philosophy acne kit. It was reformulated from the original On A Clear Day Super Wash.

The current version is an oil-free foaming acne cleanser. It is not a makeup remover - makeup should be removed first with a gentle cleanser like philosophy purity made simple Cleanser.

The most frequent complaint about this cleanser is that it is drying to the skin. People with oily skin will probably love this cleanser and it can be used by those with sensitive skin. Those with sensitive, normal or combo skin may need to use it less often that twice daily to avoid dryness.

The key ingredients are:

salicylic acid (0.5%): beta hydroxy acid that clears pore clogging dead skin cells.
acacia senegal gum: natural extract that enhances delivery of salicylic acid deep into the pores to allow low levels of salicylic acid to be comparable to higher, more irritating levels.
canadian willowherb (epilobium angustifolium): botanical extract that is an anti-irritant and antimicrobial; helps soothe, calm and condition the skin.
propanediol: natural emollient that protects against skin dehydration.

Ingredients: active ingredient: salicylic acid 0.5%. inactive ingredients: water (aqua), 1,3 propanediol, sodium laureth sulfate, lauryl glucoside, cocamidopropyl betaine, olive oil peg-7 esters, epilobium angustifolium flower/leaf/stem extract, acacia senegal gum, sodium benzotriazolyl butylphenol sulfonate, buteth-3, tributyl citrate, disodium edta, citric acid, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate.
