Serious Skin Care Glycolic Cleanser

Serious Skin Care Glycolic Cleanser is near the top of my very short list of great cleansers. I have used it off and on for years and I always keep a bottle on hand. It provides good cleaning and gentle exfoliation. It is strong enough to be effective, but not so strong that it dries out or irritates your face.

Serious Skin Care Glycolic Cleanser

This is the product that launched Serious Skin Care, that Jennifer Flavin-Stallone credits to clearing her acne. It is a great choice if you have adult acne, blackheads or congested pores. I prefer a glycolic acid cleanser to one with salicylic acid.

The effectiveness of the product is due to the glycolic acid, which has a low pH and in inactivated by water. To use, rub the cleanser all over you face and let sit for a few moments, then add water and rinse off.

From Serious Skin Care: "Great looking skin begins with proper cleansing. And forget the soap. Gently deep clean your face with the popular and effective Glycolic Cleanser. This soap-free and oil-free cleanser is formulated for all skin types and provides a superior, low pH deep-pore cleansing. It is formulated to help dissolve the skin build up, debris and dead skin cells. To use, apply a dime-size portion to your dry face. Then wet your fingers with warm water and gently massage the cleanser all over your face. Rinse with tepid water. It can be used both morning and night or in conjunction with any of your other treatment products. This cleanser helps to remove the build up of dead skin cells which can dull your complexion. The low pH balance and natural glycolic exfoliators make it perfect for deep pore cleansing, dissolving and dislodging the cellular glue that contributes to the abnormal build up of dead skin cells.

Why did we choose Glycolic Acid?
1. Glycolic Acid is naturally derived from sugar cane.
2. Glycolic Acid is the simplest of the alpha hydroxy acids.
3. Regardless of the skin type, glycolic acid use is associated with a softer, smoother, healthier, and younger looking skin.
This gentle oil-free cleanser is suited for almost all skin types."
