Tinted Moisturizer

Tinted Moisturizer can be a fabulous addition to your anti-aging skin care regimen. Depending on your skin and the product you choose, it can replace your moisturizer, your sunscreen, your makeup primer and/or your foundation.

There is a very wide range of formulations on the market. I love the multi-purpose moisturizers that replace multiple products. The coverage ranges from very sheer to just shy of fuill foundation. They all impart color and serve to even out the skin tone and conceal minor imperfections. Because they are lighter and more sheer, the colors are more forgiving and I think it is easier to get a good color match.

The good news is that there is a huge selection of products on the market. The bad news is that it make take some experimentation to find the one you love. Look for one formulated to your skin type - oily, normal or dry. Always opt for a product with sunscreen and look for anti-aging ingredients that will enhance your skin care or even replace other products.

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Enhancer - This is one of my favorites. It contains retinol and has an SPF of 20. It is better for oiler to normal skin as it does not provide much moisturization. So many "moisturizing" products cause my skin to break out. This does not cause me to breakout.
Dr. Denese SPF 30 Defense Day Cream is my other favorite. It provides a smooth matte finish and is loaded with ingredients that are good for your skin. This also does not cause me to break out.
